Failure Announce Reunion Show, Possibly More

Failure

Influential rock band Failure has confirmed via the band’s Facebook that the band will play a reunion show at the El Ray in Los Angeles on February 13, 2014.

In an interview with Spin magazine frontman Ken Andrews talks about the reasons for the reunion, the possibility of new music, past music and more. When asked about if new music would come out of the reunion show Ken said:

“I don’t really know. At this point, the only for-sure plan is this show at the El Rey. I have a feeling it’s gonna turn into more than that. We haven’t finished anything yet, but we have a few recordings that show that we have something left to say musically.”

It will definitely be interesting to see what comes of this as they have certainly not been running low on inspiration. Since the breakup the members have taken part in numerous side projects. Ken Andrews became a solo artist and notable producer, credited with bands such as A Perfect Circle, Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, and Tenacious D. Greg Edwards went on to perform in the Shoegazing outfit Autolux. Troy Van Leeuwen went on to perform with A Perfect Circle and Queens of the Stone Age. Although He did not stay with the former long enough to take part in their rendition of Failure’s “The Nurse Who Loved Me.” The Bands last original album was 1996’s hit Fantastic Planet.
