Breaking Benjamin Announce Return With New Members

After a nearly four year hiatus, Breaking Benjamin have announced via their official Facebook page that they are reforming with four new members.  Original vocalist Benjamin Burnley will remain on lead vocals.

The new material; previewed through the Facebook announcement, will be the first new media recorded and released by the band since the 2011 lawsuit that left Breaking Benjamin’s future uncertain. Filed in response to alleged ‘alterations’ of prior tracks done without his consent on the 2011 release ‘Shallow Bay: The Best of Breaking Benjamin’, Burnley sought full rights to the Breaking Benjamin name and $250,000 in damages.  The lawsuit has since been resolved.

While exact details of the resolution have not been made public, the announcement follows a statement earlier this year in which Benjamin stated the legal issues between him and his former band mates had been resolved, and that he would be continuing under the Breaking Benjamin name:

“I am pleased to finally put this matter behind me and focus on the future for Breaking Benjamin. I wish to express my never ending love and gratitude to the best fans in the world for their undying love and support. Words cannot express my love to you all! Thank you!!”

The new lineup consists of Benjamin Burnley, Shaun Foist, Aaron Bruch, Jasen Rauch and Keith Wallen. To read the new music announcement and check out the preview video, take a look at the Facebook post below:
