The Who has announced that they will be doing a 38-show, 50th anniversary North American tour starting in spring of 2015. ‘The Who Hits 50!’ tour will feature founding members Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend and run through a majority of the year. The spring portion of the tour will begin on April 15th, in Tampa, Fl and end on May 30th in Forest Hills, NY. After a short break, the band will finish the remainder of the tour in early fall, starting on September 14th in San Diego, CA, and ending on November 14th in Philadelphia, PA.
The tickets are set to go on sale October 17th, just a couple weeks prior to the release of a Who greatest-hits-package. The package will be a two-disc set with all the bands greatest hits, ranging from the very beginning all the way up to their first single in eight year, ‘Be Lucky’. Exclusive VIP packages will also be available for purchase, and a dollar from each ticket sold will be donated to benefit Teen Cancer America.
