Deftones to Premiere New Single, Album Art Released

Deftones are set to release their eighth album this April, the long rumored title confirmed as GORE. The upcoming album is building anticipation after four long years for fans, recent teasers released by the band on social media- the album cover a photo game on their Instagram and teasers of what is now known as “Prayers/Triangles.”

The teaser released hours ago featuring a longer preview and clearer sound is currently a dead link in the news outlets, the song nowhere to be found on any of Deftones’ pages; the wipe out likely for the premiere now scheduled for today, February 4th at 9:30am PST, Zane Lowe to reveal the full single HERE on Beats 1.

A select amount of tour dates were announced earlier this year, a short tour in Texas following their headliner for MusInk Festival in California, only two other states to catch their set before Deftones head to Europe. Most recently, frontman Chino Moreno is quoted to have recently told Kerrang!:

“The heavier stuff is a little faster, and the more quaint stuff is a little more lush. It’s extreme in both directions. It’s not happy-sounding. We’ve been enjoying our lives and it’s not coming from a place of anger, or depression, or anything like that. But there’s darker content on it.”
