Aerosmith has canceled their upcoming residency shows as lead singer Steven Tyler enters rehab.
After struggling with a relapse brought on by pain medication, the band’s leader, Steven Tyler, has voluntarily entered a treatment facility to focus on “health and recovery.” Tyler had just undergone a foot operation to get ready for the tour. As a result, according to a statement on the band’s social media sites, the June and July stops of the Deuces Are Wild residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM have been canceled. “As many of you know, our beloved brother Steven has worked on his sobriety for many years,” the statement shared on Instagram read. “After foot surgery to prepare for the stage and the necessity of pain management during the process, he has recently relapsed and voluntarily entered a treatment program to concentrate on his health and recovery.”
“We are truly sorry to inform our fans and friends that we must cancel our first set of Las Vegas Residency dates this June and July while he focuses on his well-being,” his bandmates said. “We will continue our 2022 dates starting in September, and we’ll let you know any further updates as soon as we can. We are devastated that we have inconvenienced so many of you, especially our most loyal fans who often travel great distances to experience our shows.”

In recent years, Steven Tyler has been focusing on his solo career. In 2016, he released his debut solo album, We’re All Somebody from Somewhere. The album debuted at number one on the Top Country Albums chart but received mixed reviews from critics.
