Sick Puppies parted ways with frontman on guitar Shim Moore since October 2014- but in December last year, a teaser was dropped by remaining members Emma Anzai and Mark Goodwin. Carefully hidden from view, their new vocalist was recorded in studio, keeping fans waiting with bated breath.
Since December, the bands’ social media have dropped blurred photos, audio-only recorded snippets from rehearsals, a countdown of five days started with the hashtag #SickPuppiesNewEra. It was a successful buildup to the exclusive reveal finally made this morning.
Now, Loudwire had the pleasure to reveal that hidden identity, Bryan Scott to front Sick Puppies on vocals and guitar, previously having played for Glass Intrepid and Dev Electirc. Scott also had a brief tour as vocalist for Emphatic.
The latest video to show Scott in studio- in full view, this time- also gives a taste for the upcoming album expected this spring with a preview to their first single together, “Stick to Your Guns.”
Bassist and drummer Anzai and Goodwin commented the new vocals for Sick Puppies, saying “his audition of ‘Odd One’ and ‘You’re Going Down’ was on point and from there the music progressed naturally.” Scott mentioned how his ‘gut feeling’ had him reach out to Anzai and Goodwin as soon as he heard of the line up change and auditions, flying out to Los Angeles immediately for the audition.
The current line up of Scott, Anzai and Goodwin are already booked for festivals, including 98Rock Fest and Rock on the Range, all new music and tour dates tracked HERE on their official website.
