South Gate, California hip-hop group Cypress Hill is back with a brand new album, and it’s sure to get your head nodding.
The hip-hop legends have just released their tenth studio album, Back In Black, produced entirely by Black Milk. To celebrate the release, they’ve also dropped a new single, “Certified,” featuring Demrick. “Certified” follows three previously released singles, “Bye Bye,” “Open Ya Mind,” and “Champion Sound.” The group composed of rapper B-Real, Sen Dog, Eric Bobo, and DJ Muggs has been going at it for three decades, and with their latest release, it’s clear they haven’t missed a step.
Back in Black is Cypress Hill’s first full length since 2018’s Elephants on Acid, and it’s clear that they haven’t missed a step. The band recently wrapped up a tour with Atmosphere and celebrated the 30th anniversary of their groundbreaking self-titled debut album with a sold-out concert. Cypress Hill’s debut album was released in 1991, and the album went double platinum and was an essential release in West Coast hip hop history.
Cypress Hill released nine more studio albums before this latest release, selling over 20 million records worldwide. They are one of the most successful rap groups of all time and are one of the first hip-hop acts to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
