After a series of breakups and short lived reunions from 2007 to 2010, it appears that the boys of Finch are finally ready to make their true return to rock music, and release their first full length record of music in nearly nine years.
Propelled to stardom in the early 2000’s with their critically acclaimed mainstream debut What It Is To Burn and it’s slightly divisive followup Say Hello to Sunshine, the band originally called it quits in 2006, before reuniting temporarily to release the Finch EP in August of 2008. The band would later disband again in 2010, and wouldn’t be seen performing together again till a slew of anniversary tour dates in 2013 for What It Is to Burn.
Now, after working together on new music for the past few months, Finch are preparing to release their third record Back To Oblivion on September 30th through Razor & Tie. The album’s lead single “Two Guns To The Temple” was released earlier this year, and today fans can stream the album’s second single “Anywhere But Here” exclusively on VEVO.
While fans will be flocking to stores on September 30th to purchase the new record, Finch will be celebrating the release of Back To Oblivion by kicking off a 26 date tour with Maps & Atlases and Weatherbox in San Diego, CA. Tickets are currently on sale and the full tour dates are available at the bottom of this article.
