Soulfly’s tenth album is set for release this August through Nuclear Blast Entertainment, currently in development with producer Matt Hyde. Spotlight Report spoke to Max Cavalera at Soundwave, currently touring with Killer Be Killed and returning to the studio to continue recording with Soulfly-
“The next Soulfly comes out in August. I’m finishing the vocals right now. The music is all done.” Cavalera feels their work with Hyde is incredible, likely to tour with Soulfly for a year or two after this current touring with Killer Be Killed.
Recently, he also spoke with SkullsNBones and revealed his excitement for the upcoming record; the “big tenth record” which will also have Cavalera’s own son, Zyon Cavalera, on drums with possible guests. Their last album Savages had featured vocal appearances by Soulfly’s bassist Tony Campos, Clutch’s Neil Fallon, Napalm Death’s Mitch Harris, Jaime Hanks of I Declare War and brother Igor Cavalera of Lody Kong.
With Igor Cavalera, Max reunited with his brother back in 2013 to revive Cavalera Conspiracy, Pandemonium released this past November, performing select dates later this June.
Currently, Soulfly has only confirmed British Summer Time at Hyde Park, London this July.
