Weezer fans have patiently waited for the band to release a new album for four years now,  and only recently did the band answer the prayers of their fans and announce the pending fall release of their upcoming album, ‘Everything Will Be Alright In The End.’ Initially scheduled for a September 30th release date, the band recently announced that the release date will now be pushed back a week to October 7th, 2014:

“Hi everyone – Today we are pumped to share with you the good news that the recording sessions for EWBAITE are finished, and finished on time as planned. However, we’ve unfortunately learned some additional news that’s not so cool – We have to release EWBAITE one week later than planned, on Oct 7. This is a bummer and we really hate to make our fans wait longer. We worked very hard to finish the album on time for you, so we’re really sorry about this and hope you understand.”

The band did not indicate any reason for the delay, but a week’s wait should not be too troublesome for most fans. Weezer will release one song to everyone who preorders the new record on September 30th, which should hold over fans until the album hits the shelves. The band already released the album’s first single, “Back to the Shack,” on July 22nd, 2014.

More information about the band, the new album, and pre-orders can be found on Weezer’s official website.
